Neil has worked in general practice since 1966 and has gained a reputation for his honesty, dedication and knowledge. Post qualification he spent a brief period with a large firm in the City and then a small firm in Southend-on-Sea, after which he went on to start and build Neil Hamper & Co., his own general practice.Neil developed an interest in tax investigation work and was invited to join the Taxation and VAT Committee of the Federation of Small Businesses. He has been active in the direct and indirect taxation field, becoming Chairman of the Taxation and Financial Affairs Committee in 2002.He is a member of the Tax Faculty Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and has also been a Member of the Tax Faculty's Direct Taxes Procedural Sub-Committee for approximately ten years. Neil became President of the South Essex Society of Chartered Accountants in 1997. |
